Spring Break…Spring Ache — Remembering My Mother

, dragonflies 3 Animation3In my family, the month of March has always been full of celebrations. My sister’s birthday, then my daughter’s, my parents’ wedding anniversary followed by my birthday, But since my mother passed away last year — on March 14th, 2012 — a profound sadness has seeped into our hearts. My mother wouldn’t approve. She “had a zest for life and a great capacity to live life to the fullest.” Something she’d want us to have too. So we try. But, oy vey — Lea Levy — you’re a hard act to follow!

  2. Anniversaries are so hard..and in my experience that first anniversary was so painful…but creating those family traditions for remembering really helps. Thinking of you today!
