Today’s Pink Stroke of Genius: Marcia Wallace – Voice of “Edna Krabappel” on The Simpsons – is “Tickled Pink” Keynote Speaker

Behind every great cartoon character is a great actor. And on The Simpsons, Marcia Wallace brings Edna Krabappel to life! When she’s not playing Bart‘s 4th Grade teacher, Marcia Wallace keeps busy! She’s promoting her book, DON’T LOOK BACK WE’RE NOT GOING THAT WAY!…OR How I Survived a Rocky Childhood, Fat, a Nervous Breakdown, Breast Cancer, Widowhood, Fire, Menopausal Single Motherhood and Still Manage to count My Lucky Chickens! And on October 4, 2012, Marcia Wallace will be the keynote speaker at “Tickled Pink,” Highland Hospital’s 19th annual breast cancer education event.  Tickets for the event are $60. Proceeds benefit Highland Breast Imaging, which offers free breast cancer screenings to women in the community who are uninsured or under-insured. To register for the event, call (585) 341-0530.
