Pandora’s Lid Lifted

On the final day of my art show, Pandora’s Collective injected poetry into the gallery. I listened, I laughed, I cried as each poet pulled words out of my images. Inspiring. Humbling. Rumblings of a chapbook…

Now, the next time I exhibit my artwork,
instead of chasing the publicity machine
with press releases about my two diseases
to catch a critic to critique
I’ll commission poets to speak
and spark fire beneath each frame
