The Sunshine Coast Festival of the Written Arts Spawns “Sexy-Sick-Chic-Lit” Genre

It was a tandem act of madness: putting Kim Clark and me together on stage with unflappable host, Sheryl MacKay!  While there were no wardrobe malfunctions during our readings, there were warbling attemptations, adulterous dental fantasies, quests for opposable-thumb climaxes and confessions galore! The appreciative audience — comprised primarily of middle-aged women — roared with laughter! At the end of the show, the women went wild and the post-menopausal pussy riot police were put on high alert. Kim and Most of Me and our diseases were safely escorted off the stage and taken to the author’s tent. While signing books, we exchanged knowing glances. We’d created our very own genre: “Sexy-Sick-Chic-Lit.”
