The Flying Pig Heads to Lafayette, California for the "Danville Tour d’Elegance" Fundraiser for Parkinson's

Flying pigs may not be kosher, but they sure are cute. And they love backseat driving in shiny expensive cars! This one is headed to Lafayette, California for the Danville Tour d’Elegance weekend September 15 & 16, 2012. This year’s theme is “Legends of Racing, Heroes of Parkinson’s” and honors three racecar drivers, Dave Love, Sam Posey, and the late Phil Hill, whose lives have been challenged by the effects of Parkinson’s disease. The tour of classic,  vintage, and exotic pleasure and racing vehicles will begin at the Lafayette Park Hotel and take racers through the scenic rural roads of the Napa Valley. There will be a “pit” stop for a catered lunch at the Cardinale Winery before the participants return to Lafayette. A dinner and an auction will be held at the Blackhawk Museum. Proceeds go to the Parkinson’s Institute in Sunnyvale, California, and the Michael J. Fox Foundation. Admission is free for visitors, though donations are encouraged.
