Sympathy for the Doggerel

I tried tellin’ y’all I was sick
when I wouldn’t do my favourite trick
an’ roll over for that treat
or lick Glo’s toes an’ tasty feet

I was thikin’ y’all were fools
’til y’all noticed my bloody stools
an’ rushed me to the Vet E.R.
now I’m feelin’ much better
