Today Let’s Celebrate Ella Fitzgerald’s Literary Legacy

The “First Lady of Song” was born on April 25, 1917 — 95 years ago today!  In 1993, she established the Ella Fitzgerald Charitable Foundation in order to help people of all races, cultures and beliefs live rewarding lives. Her Foundation does this in many ways, including fostering her love of reading. “A Book Just For Me!” provides over 100,000 brand-new books each year to disadvantaged children! Happy Birthday Ella!
